Well... the planning for my trip to Ohio is nearly complete. I have reservations for stops in
Amarillo, Texas
Alvord, Texas
Natchitoches, Louisiana
New Orleans, Louisiana
Memphis, Tennessee
Louisville, Kentucky
Columbus, Ohio
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Akron, Ohio
Kalamazoo, Michigan
Stanton, Missouri
and Weatherford, Oklahoma
It will be something of a whirlwind trip, with the longest stop being just three days! So, I will be packing in a LOT of adventures during each stop. However, I don't want to share too much just yet. I'd rather just report on travels as I experience them. But some of the things that I am excited about are:
Spending time with my brother for his birthday cookout.
Visiting New Orleans again: Jazz, Jambalaya, and Jumpin' good times on Bourbon Street.
Visiting Memphis for the first time: BBQ and Blues!
Seeing my friends David and Jerry again.
And of course, seeing Heart Live in Columbus! One of my friends will be flying in to join me which is really an unexpected bonus!

So, this trip is really shaping up to be a lot of "musical wishes coming true". Aside from all of the personal meetups, there will be a lot of musical adventures. From Heart Live... to New Orleans Jazz... to Memphis Blues, the month of May looks like it will be a plethora of music, friends and fun travels. I can't wait!
To close out this post, I will leave you with a blues song performed by Heart on their third album, "Magazine". This live version is actually a mash-up of "Mother Earth Blues" by Memphis Slim and "You Shook Me" by Muddy Waters. It is a live recording from the Aquarius Theater in Seattle, Washington, way back in 1975! Take a listen if you care to do so.
This makes me smile, and I just found out that it is actually true for some bees, but not honeybees. Enjoy the bumblebee butt!

I will be around durning you trip I’m guessing if you are traveling from Columbus to Pittsburgh I’m on the way let me know if you have time for a visit
